Aadya Kali Stotra

Riddance from diseases, problems and poverty.

It is mentioned in the ancient texts that when even the gods face some problem they seek recourse of  this powerful and divine hymn. The Goddess Aadya Kali is capable of destroying all foes and bestowing totality in life. In a text written by him the great sage Vishwamitra has said that for curing diseases in Aadya Kali Stotra is amazingly effective.

Treilokya Vijaysth Kavachasya Shiv Rishis, Anushtup Chhandah, Aadya Kaali Devataa, Maayaa Beejam, Ramaa Keelakam, Kaamya Siddhi Viniyogah.1

Meaning: The Rishi of this Stotra is Lord Shiva, the deity being propitiated is Goddess Kali, the Beej Mantra is Hreem. Its recital leads to fulfillment of all wishes.

Hreem Aadya Me Shirah Paatu Shreem Kaali Vadan Mamam. Hridayam Kreem Paraa Shaktih Paayaat Kanttham Paraatparaa.2

Meaning: May Goddess Kali whose Beej Mantra is Hreem protect my head. And may Goddess Mahakali with Beej Mantra Shreem protect my face. May Bhagawati Parashakti with Beej Mantra Kreem protect my heart and may Paraatpar Shakti protect my throat.

Netrou Paatu Jagaddhaatri Karnnou Rakshatu Shaankari. Ghraanna Paatu Mahaa Maayaa Rasanaam Sarva Mangalaa.3

Meaning: May Jagatdhaatri, Shaankari,  Mahaamaayaa and Sarvamangalaa protect my eyes, ears, nose and tongue respectively.

Dantaan Rakshatu Kouaari Kapolo Kamalaalayaa. Oushtthaandhaaroum Shamaa Rakshet Chibukam Chaaru Haasini.4

Meaning: May Koumari, Kamalaa, Shamaanaamika and Chaaru Haasini protect respectively my teeth, cheeks, lips and chin.

Greevaam Paayaat Kleshaanee Kakut Paatu Kripaa Mayi, Dwou Baahoobaahudaa Rakshet Karou Keivalya Daayini.5

Meaning: May Kleshani Shakti, Kripaamayi and Keivalayadaayini Bhagwati Shakti protect respectively my neck, shoulders, both arms and both hands.

Skandhou Kapardini Paatu Prishttham Treilokya Taarinni. Paarshve Paayaadaparnnaa Me Kotim Me Kamtthaasanaa.6

Meaning: May Kapardini, Treilokya Taarinni, Aparnnnaa Shakti and Kamatthaasanaa protect respectively my shoulders, back, sides and spine respectively.

Nabhou Paatu Vishaalaakshi Prajaa Sthaanam Prabhaavati. Uroo Rakshatu Kalyaanni Paadou Me Paatu Paarvati.7

Meaning: May Vishaalaakshi, Prabhaavati, Kalyaanni and Bhagawati Paarvati protect my navel, sex organs, thighs and legs respectively.

Jaydurge-vatu Praannaan Sarvaagam Sarva Siddhinaa, Rakshaa Heenam Tu Yat Sthaanam Varjitam Kavachen Cha.8

Meaning: May Jaydurga, Sarvasiddhida protect my soul and all parts respectively. May Aadya Kaali Bhagwati protect all my body parts.

Iti Te Kathitam Divya Treilokya Vijayaabhidham Kavacham Kaalikaa Devyaa Aadyaayaah Paramaadbhutam.9

Meaning: O Goddess Parvati! I have recited this Stotra devotedly to please your Aadya Kaali form and seek your blessings.

Pooja Kaale Patthed Yastu Aadyaadhikrit Maanasah. Sarvaan Kaamaanavaapnoti Tasyaadyaa Supraseedati.10

Meaning: A person who chants this Stotra devotedly and with full concentration is able to fulfill all his wishes and the Goddess Aadya Kaali is sure pleased with him.

Mantra Siddhirva-vedaashu Kikaraah Shudrasiddhyah. Aputro Labhate Putra Dhanaarthi Praapnuyaad Dhanam.11

Meaning: One who regularly chants this Stotra masters all Mantras and Tantra and all divine powers. A childless couple is blessed with children and a poor person becomes wealthy and prosperous.

Vidhyaarthi Labhate Vidyaam Kaamo Kaamaanvaapnuyaat. Sahstraavriti Paathen Varmannosya Puraskriyaa.12

Meaning: Students gain intelligence and knowledge and one who chants this Stotra with a wish in his mind surely fulfills it. One how chants this Stotra a thousand times is always protected from all dangers.

Purushcharann Sampannam Yathokt phaladam Bhavet. Chandanaagaroo Kasturi Kumkumei Rakta Chandanei.13
Bhoorje Vilikhya Gutikaa Swarnnasyaam Dhaaryed Yadi. Shikhaayaam Dakshinne Baaho Kantthe Vaa Saadhakah Katee.14

Meaning: One who writes this Stotra on a papers with a mixture of sandalwood paste, Agar, musk, vermilion and red sandalwood and putting it in a gold amulet wears the amulet on the right arm or the waist and then chants the Stotra one lakh twenty  five thousand times surely fulfills all his wishes.

Tasyaadyaa Kaalikaa Vashyaa Vaanchhitaarth Prayachhati. Na Kutraapi Bhaayam Tasya Sarvatra Vijayi Kavih.15

Meaning: Such a Sadhak wins the divine grace of Goddess Aadya Kaali, becomes fearless and is victorious in every sphere and becomes a famed scholar.

Arogi Chir Jeevee Syaat Balvaan Dhaarann Sham. Sarvavidyaasu Nipunn Sarva Shaastraarth Tatva Vit. 16

Meaning: One who thus wears this Stotra becomes free of all diseases, long lived, strong and a master of all sciences and an expert in textual knowledge.

Vashe Tasya Mahi Paalaa Bhog Mokshei Kar Sthito. Kali Kalmash Yuktaanaam Nihshreyas Kar Param.17

Meaning: Such a person has influence over kings and people in high positions. He enjoys all pleasures and becomes spiritually elevated. In the present age of Kaliyug when sins rule the world this Stotra proves very enlightening.
